BEING ONE BODY OR NOT
Company mergers and acquisitions are keeping and even increasing their speed in Turkey for a long time, like happens in the world examples.
Merger and Acquisition activities are coming to the decision makers as a need in different situations. Highlights like , acquiring the competitor in order to finalize the competition between the companies, combining the forces of two competitor companies or companies who are in the same side, selling the company in order not to lose the resources of the financially weak company, strategically becoming a new company and placing in the market with the new image, route the company to the new countries, increase the profits, decrease the losses, are the main reasons of those mergers.
Merging or acquiring, how ever it happens, two or more companies should act as one body and need to work as one mechanism. The most important thing in the mergers is the transformation plan. These transformation plans passes as possibles as, from the new company’s new processes and disciplines. Standarts which can come to the implementable level, take too much time and passes from difficult phases. Especiallly, placement, communication, mailing, announcement, methods, disciplines, application, preparation and main topics like these are the steps in the first phase of the transformation process.
The biggest resistance in the mergers comes from employes and interactions of employes of the environmental factors. People behaviours, working methods, and the adaptation of the strong and boned behaviours of the employes to the new environment conditions take time. This time passes with phases of feeling, understandig, absorbing, implementing and accepting to the adaptation level.
After achieving the personal adaptation, necessary thing is building “the team” and collaboration. If first step, which is personal adaptiton completes as fast as possible, then building “the team” realizes that fast.
There is a need for a big effort, power, and patience, in order to achieve the transformation, to define the new vision, and move the company with the high motivation. Especially in the changing and dynamic market conditions, providing the budget with the limits, increases the creativity of the management and company.
Keeping the targets with the low limits ( at least achievable targets ), will provide acceleration to the new entity to step ahead for the stairs of success, and will continue to proceed with the small arrangements in the targets.
The most important thing is, achieving the success, creating a new entity and moving as one team can only happen with the giveable trust and support of the team members to each others.
Proceeding to the target successes as one body is a fatal necessity.
