Who is your Boss ?

Who is your Boss ?

This week I want to share an article that I have read and liked in the Inc. Magazine. Subject is 9 types of Bosses. Which type fit to you? Or Is one of these bosses your boss? Anyhow, the following types are the types we faced in our daily business lives.
We are spending most of our times in business are with the “Bosses” or “Executives” , How are their behaviours ? What are their nicknames? And How should we handle?

Energizer Bunny
Unstoppable person. Works until midnights, and start to work early in the mornings. Send “Urgent” e-mails on weekends at late nights. Always comes to work without looking whether it is holiday, christmas, or even a there is a disaster.
Nick Name: Terminator
How to handle: You can not. Act positively, and do not feel that you have to work till midnight or even weekends.

Sponge
Open not only some ideas but to every ideas if they are new. The things he heard about financial, management and social happenings, he believe that it is the best and he wants to implement immediately.
Nick Name: CE-Oh
How to handle : Use your experience and creativity to present, for the latest implementation and techniques. This will strengthen your employment.

Hun the Emperor - Attila
Gives impossible targets, and humiliates the person if the target can not be achieved where everyboy hears. He does not listen the threats, and takes his way with fear.
Nick Name : Psycho
How to handle: Generally, their enterprise life is short. He is always in probation, whenever the reorganization time comes, board fires.

Cheer Leader
Whatever the team gets terrible results, always gives perfect messages and motivates the team. Howsoever the forecasts are bad, with positive approaches, he tells the results will be good, and bonuses wiil be provided, and salary increases, and increase in the benefits, etc.
Nick Name: Dreamer
How to handle: Always the positive feedbacks are good. But it is always better to stand on your feet, and see the reality.

TBF – The Best Friend
Titles are not important. Known by everybody as “The Best Friend”. Whatever the organization chart shows, everybody is equal, and in its office everybody is friend.
Nick Name: Buddy, CFO (Chief Fun Organizer)
How to handle: Friendship and business, these should be taken as seperate. You can achieve success by balancing between the professionalism and the friendship.

Flip Flop
Everyweek makes annoucements to save the company, always changes his direction. After sometime no one cares.
Nick Name: Teflon, Columbus
How to handle: Do not fully concentrate to the project, but do not leave it as well. You are responsible about your execution, not from the results.

Missing
Does not exist in the office. Creates a legendary image, by feeding fear. There are rumors about him when he wasn’t in the office. Is he on holiday? On a yacht trip? Enjoying himself? ...
Nickname : Invisible
How to handle: Be a team player. Missing managers creates stressfull environments where all employees handles together.

Fire Keeper
Howsoever it’s complex, saves the original vision of the company. Brings the vision time to time, and puts his leadership where the business should go.
Nickname: Historian
How to handle :Strength. This boss is very loyal, can not be easily found to change.

Dr. Jekyl & Mr. Hyde
Compliments and encourage your hardwork and results, promises bonuses for the year end, then denies, moreover he tells he has not talked about this subject or your employment.
Nickname: Two-faced
How to handle : Do everything in writing.

It is better not to fix on these. If you focus on your mission, do your work, and get the results perfectly on time, then your boss’s type will not be important.

Try to focus on your business not on people.
You will get your pay.
